When did you start riding and what got you involved in motorcycles?

I STARTED RIDING ABOUT 20 YRS AGO, I HAVE FOUR BROTHERS AND MY DAD ALWAYS RODE. I RODE WITH MY DAD AND ONE DAY SAID I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO RIDE. THE NEXT DAY HE TOOK ME TO THE SCHOOL PARKING LOT ON A HONDA  AND I WAS LEARNING HOW TO RIDE AFTER TWO DAYS, HE THEN BOUGHT ME MY FIRST HARLEY 1100 SPORTER AND HAVE BEEN RIDING EVER SINCE.

How has riding motorcycles impacted your life? 

IN EVERYWAY POSSIBLE I HAVE GOTTEN SO MUCH CLOSER WITH MY BROTHERS AND DAD CAUSE WE NOW CAN DO SOMETHING WE ALL LOVE.  I HAVE MET THE GREATEST PEOPLE RIDING MY HARLEY AND HAVE SEEN THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PLACES.

What has been your biggest challenge with riding?

I WOULD HAVE TO SAY LEARNING ALL THE TECHNICAL STUFF, AS WE SAY IN OUR FAMILY WRENCHING…. I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO LEARN HOW TO BUILD A HARLEY AND DO ALL THE MECHANICAL STUFF.

What do you like most about your model motorcycle?

IT’S ALL ABOUT ME, ITS FITS ME PERFECTLY.

What modifications have you made?  CUSTOM SEAT, BARS, PAINT, MUSIC. (SPEAKERS)

When you’re not riding motorcycles what are you other interest? I DON’T HAVE ANY….LOL

What advice do you have for other women riders?

DON’T BE SCARED IT LOOKS SCARY BUT IT’S THE BEST AND EASIEST THING. TAKE A CHANCE AND LEARN HOW TO RIDE!!!

How tall are you? 5’6

What is the seat height of your bike? 25 1/2

What is your weather like year round? BEAUTIFUL!!!

How is riding therapy for you?

TOTALLY CLEARS MY HEAD OF ALL THE BULLSHIT!!!

Petrina is well known in the riding circles as “Lady P”, so I asked her how she got that name? She mentioned “My lady P name came a very long time ago; my niece could not pronounce my name so she would say aunt pee, aunt pee. As it went on people would say Hey P then when I started to ride it went to Lady P.  I could not fit it on my license plate so I cut it to LDY P!!!!”
