There are rides—and then there are legendary rides. At the 2012 Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, you’ll get a chance to experience one of the most legendary rides of your life as you ride alongside celebrities, world-class bike builders, and our own Russ Brown and Chuck Koro on the 5th Annual Legends Ride put on by the Legendary Sturgis Buffalo Chip. This 55-mile ride begins in the historic town of Deadwood, South Dakota and rides throughout the Black Hills to the Legendary Buffalo Chip in Sturgis. After it’s done, you’ll get a chance to party with hundreds of riders and celebrities during an exclusive reception and live memorabilia auction.
In year’s past, the Legends Ride has attracted big name celebrities such as Aerosmith’s front man and American Idol judge Steven Tyler, “Big” Kenny of Big & Rich, comedic icon Pee-Wee Herman, America’s Favorite Survivor and Indiana Gubernatorial candidate Rupert Boneham and King of Custom Arlen Ness just to name a few.
Yet the celebrity sightings are not the best reason to participate in the Legends Ride. The best part about participating in the ride is realizing that the money made during the ride goes to benefit local Black Hills charities. In fact, in just 4 short years, the Legends Ride has risen over $240,000 for local charities, including the Sturgis Motorcycle Museum & Hall of Fame and the Black Hills Special Olympics.
If you are interested in riding in this year’s Legends Ride during the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, then you’ll need to get tickets quickly, because the ride sells out each and every year. The ride will officially take place on Monday, August 6th and riders will get to party into the wee hours of the morning with a double headliner night at the Buffalo Chip Campground. After the ride, stick around to hear Loverboy and Journey perform LIVE! The concerts are included in the Legends Ride package. Head to www.legendsride.com for more info.
