Men – Do You Support Women Who Ride?

What a Woman!

MEN – what are your thoughts on women riders? Ladies do you find you’re supported or do you experience “uncomfortable” comments from men?

Men who support women that ride are absolutely awesome!

It’s such a pleasure to hear men so supportive and proud of their ladies riding.  Ike Rocca sent in  Just got this bike for my bride to help her heal after her heart attack. She helped me pass my motorcycle test 26 years ago. What a woman!

Ike, you are our kinda guy!
The appreciation for your lady is heartfelt in your message and your big heart shines getting a bike for your bride.
It so refreshing to see a coupled that “married right” and in addition you knew exactly what would help her heal more than medicine – her own scoot!

You say “what a woman” and I hear ya and I’ll raise ya one to “What a great couple”.

If you have an amazing woman rider in your life, post your praise on the blog!!
Let’s celebrate our women that ride!!!
Ride On!

Since becoming a MSF Rider Coach in 2005 I have been very impressed and happy to see a steady increase in the number of women riders.. I say GREAT !!!! Welcome !!!! Now get out and ride !!!!

I have many friends that ride – male and female – and many friends that sit on the back – male and female… The important thing is getting out there. And if the woman has her own bike and can handle it, more power to her. I’m in it for the riding and an appreciation for the bikes – a woman on a bike is just icing on the cake…

I don’t see what the deal is. Women drive cars. Women walk. Women operate microwaves. A long time ago when I was more often a passenger and only knew a small handful of women who rode, I thought then, … As soon as I can afford it, I’m going to do that too. And as soon as I could, I did.

I guess, way back when motorcycles needed daily upkeep more often than not, it was an issue if you wanted to travel more and BOY some women really blazed a path. But today?

*shrug* A fellow told me two years ago “You ride like a MAN!” like it was some sort of compliment.

I asked him if he operated his microwave like a woman.

Why should gender have ANYTHING to do with it, I LOVE riding with either Men or Women, a Rider is just that, and I don’t let ANYONE tell me any different, Ladies you wanna ride, Let’s Go and don’t Let Anyone Stop You!

I am personally supportive of all women riders. My motorcycle club is family oriented and very female rider supportive. I welcome sharing the road with any and all safe riders regardless of race or gender. Venga Lo Que Venga!!!

  • Paul says:

Don’t know any male riders who think women shouldn’t ride :)

for many years I was a cross country tractor trailer driver. Whenever I had the opportunity to share the road with a female truck driver, I welcomed it. It was almost as if they felt they needed to “prove” themselves, but they were the BEST drivers out there.

Regardless of what they drive, or ride, if they can handle their own rides, I would welcome them to ride with me, anytime, without having to “prove” themselves again. The way they handle their rides will say all I would need to know about their skill level.

Great to read your comments and thank you for your support of women riders!

I am a fortunate… No I take that back, I am a very very lucky Man, My Biker Babe is sooo cool and so hot at the same time!! Her name is Cyndi and she is the most generous, caring, loving person you’d ever want to cross paths with on the road. She looks like an Angel riding with her long flowing platinum blonde hair… And sometimes when she’s riding I’d swear I saw wings and a halo!! Her command of the road impresses me more every time we hit the road, her awareness of surroundings, road conditions and other riders is just getting better and better!! I just love seeing Women out on the road on their bikes!! There is not anyone I would rather ride with than my biker babe road angel Cyndi… as I said… I am very very lucky!!!
