According to the Times Record, two men who were uninjured in a primary motorcycle accident were killed in a secondary collision, when a third vehicle struck them as they were standing at the scene of their first motorcycle accident.

A motorcycle-riding Texas husband and wife were the collateral victims of an initial two-car crash on State Highway 78 at County Road 546, south of Farmersville. The motorcycle accident on February 16th, 2011 resulted when a Dodge Neon was rear-ended by a Ford F-350 pickup truck, pushing the lighter vehicle into the opposing lane of traffic and head-on into the path of the oncoming Texas motorcyclists. Unfortunately, the motorcyclists were thrown from their bikes by the force of the impact. While the husband remained in critical condition at a Dallas hospital, the wife, sadly, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to a recent news story in the Times-Register, the city of Haslet in Tarrant County has been served notice that one of the victims of a November motorcycle accident on Blue Mound Road may file a lawsuit holding Haslet responsible for a defective roadway. The crash killed a 45-year-old man and seriously injured his 40-year old female companion when their eastbound motorcycle slid into the guardrail protecting westbound traffic.

According to WFAA TV in Dallas/Fort Worth, police officials are searching for a truck driver who was responsible for a fatal motorcycling accident on February 9th, 2011. The Texas motorcyclist was killed in an accident involving an eighteen-wheeler in Arlington on Interstate 20 near Matlock Road.

Texas Motorcycle Accident Attorneys:  It seems that traveling on Texas Highway 281 near San Antonio is especially dangerous for motorists and motorcyclists alike, according to a recent KVUE news report. The report, based on data gathered by the Metropolitan Planning Organization, showed that more than 28,000 San Antonio motorists were injured and 161 were killed in road accidents in 2008. Yet, the most sobering bit of information gleaned from the report is the fact that, on average, there is a motorcycle accident on San Antonio-area roads every 10 hours.
