Keeping The Peace In Sturgis
Try asking Sturgis Police Chief Jim Bush how many public safety officers there are working during the rally and he won’t tell you.
The 70th Anniversary Of The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally About To Kick Off.
Bikers have been heading into Sturgis, South Dakota, for the past two weeks and the Sturgis Bike Rally doesn’t officially start till Friday (August 6). When we heard that motorcyclists were showing up early by the thousands we sent our BAM team (Free breakdown and legal assistance for motorcyclists) in a few days early. They will be set up at two different locations on Main St, Sturgis. The BAM girls team arrives on Monday and will be stationed at the legendary Buffalo Chip.
I’m Just Wild About Sturgis, SD
I started working for Russ Brown Motorcycle Attorneys two years ago. The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in South Dakota, actually marks my two year anniversary as my first day of employment consisted of getting on a plane for Rapid City, SD. Rapid City is the airport you fly into if flying to the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally as opposed to riding your bike, which hard core bikers say is the only way to go to Sturgis. I have to admit that I am a Los Angeles city snob and was hesitant about going to Sturgis, SD but when I got there, not only was I taken by the areas incredible beauty but I was also taken by the friendliness of the motorcyclists. I am going back to Sturgis this year for the 70th anniversary celebration and I am looking forward to introducing a couple of newbies to the wonder that is the Black Hills – Sturgis area.
