I am sure you have heard of some of the derogatory names people like to use when referring to motorcycle accident lawyers, or personal injury lawyer in general, and I bet you have also heard some off color jokes as well. Lets face it, people who use those ugly names when referring to accident lawyers usually have been at fault in a vehicle accident and the legal liabilities they were responsible for have obviously left a bad taste in their mouth!

In 2004 the NHTSA reported that each day 16,934 accidents were reported to the police each day, of that number it is estimated that close to 15% involved motorcycles which means that 2,388 motorcyclists are injured each and every day on U.S. highways. When we consider what happens when an automobile strikes a motorcycle, I am sure you can imagine the outcome. Most motorcycle accidents that involve cars and trucks usually result in serious injury and oftentimes death to the motorcyclist and their passengers.

Ok here is the scenario: You are on your way to your favorite hangout spot after work, you just cruising cause you are not in a hurry, you come to an intersection and as the light changes from yellow to red you grab the breaks but before you are fully stopped you are hit hard from behind, pushed into the intersection and hit broadside by an oncoming car. Although the accident was serious you are fortunate because a police car was next to you and watched the whole accident happen. An ambulance is called and you are whisked away to the hospital.
