San Francisco #1 Worst City for Motorcycle Accident Injuries and Deaths
The San Francisco Bay Area is home to some of the most beautiful scenery in the country. Winding roads offer views of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, the Embarcadero, Alcatraz, and Golden Gate Bridge, and it is precisely this beauty that draws thousands of motorcyclists here each and every year. Whether they live in the city, in one of the many Bay Area suburbs, or have ridden across the country, motorcyclists love this city. Unfortunately, this city is the worst California city for motorcyclists.
The 70th Anniversary Of The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally About To Kick Off.
Bikers have been heading into Sturgis, South Dakota, for the past two weeks and the Sturgis Bike Rally doesn’t officially start till Friday (August 6). When we heard that motorcyclists were showing up early by the thousands we sent our BAM team (Free breakdown and legal assistance for motorcyclists) in a few days early. They will be set up at two different locations on Main St, Sturgis. The BAM girls team arrives on Monday and will be stationed at the legendary Buffalo Chip.
San Francisco Motorcycle Safety
Motorcycling in San Francisco can be an incredible experience. The San Francisco Bay Area boasts some of the most beautiful scenery in the country and its winding coastal roads draw thousands of motorcyclists to California every year. However, while the San Francisco Bay Area can be beautiful, it is also known for some of the worst traffic in the country. Motorcyclists can bypass much of this traffic by legally riding in between the car lanes during rush hour traffic. While this can be a wonderful time saver, it does come with quite a risk. Also keep in mind that even though lane splitting is legal in California, if you are lane splitting at an excessive speed and are in an accident it will not look good for you that you were speeding while lane splitting. Next time you hit the San Francisco freeways, make sure you are taking the proper motorcycle safety precautions–so you can prevent serious and often deadly San Francisco motorcycle accidents from occurring.
