It is my first day back in the office after a wonderful trip to New York City to catch up with some old friends, and I already miss the Big Apple.  The trip was amazing, and we even got to check out the International Motorcycle Show at the Javits Center in Manhattan.  What a huge success!  The building on Saturday January 23 was completely packed with motorcyclists and those looking to become motorcyclists.  It was wall to wall with motorcycles, motorcycle accessories, motorcycle information, motorcycle magazines, motorcycle clubs, and much more.  I was completely surprised at the number of people who actually rode their motorcycles to the show.  Being a LA girl, I was frozen solid, but these guys took the “sunny” day, hopped on their motorcycles and headed to the show.  That is my definition of a true biker!

So here I am looking for new motorcycle accident news for Los Angeles, California, and nothing new is coming up.  Only a few things here and there we have already reported on.  As I have said in the past, this is great news!  So I thought, why not look up a funny motorcycle video to post to change the pace a little.  The first thing that pops up on www.youtube.com is “funny motorcycle accidents.”  Makes me think.  Is any motorcycle accident funny?  Then I remembered the infamous Kimberly Stewart Hollywood red carpet motorcycle crash and it answers my question.  Yes, yes there are SOME motorcycle accidents that are funny.  I would like to share the great video with you all so you can have a laugh with me on this wonderful morning.  God love Los Angeles and its over the top celebrities.

A man is in serious condition in the hospital after a motorcycle accident in Orange, California on January 24.  He was riding east on Santiago Canyon Road with other motorcyclists when he, for unknown reasons, veered into oncoming traffic and hit an SUV.  No on else was injured, but the motorcycle accident is still under investigation.  Police are unaware of any drug or alcohol use that would have cause the motorcycle accident. A 10 year old child was run over by a motorcycle in Atlanta, GA on January 18.  Police said the child was crossing the street when the motorcycle accident occurred.  The child was taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition.  The motorcycle rider had minor injuries.  No charges have been filed.  Our thoughts are with the families.

A young Peteluma, California woman was involved in a motorcycle accident on November 21, 2009 that crushed her leg.  Since the motorcycle accident, she was been in a hospital in San Francisco, CA undergoing several surgeries and rehab trying to save her leg.  She is doing much better and is looking forward to going home soon.  She is thankful for all of the support given to her by friends and family during her rough time.
